Which ClipManta Page Fits My File Type?

Last updated: October 24, 2026

Conversion pages accept supported audio and video files and show outputs for the selected source. Choose by the job and suggested default. Compression pages still have their own input rules.

Use these tools

Example: identify the input first

The public MKV sample contains H.264 video and AAC audio. The container points to MKV to MP4; the codecs tell you what is inside.

After conversion, play the output and check picture, sound, and size. A matching extension alone does not prove an unusual codec will work.

Audio conversion and compression differ

MP3 Converter and Audio Converter accept supported audio and video files. MP3 Compressor and WAV Compressor require their named source formats.

Choose conversion to change format; choose compression to try to reduce size.

Video-to-audio pages suggest the task

MP4 to MP3, Video to MP3, and Extract Audio From Video are the right surface when the source starts as video and the result needs to be audio.

The same supported video file can be selected on any conversion page. The widget shows which outputs apply to it.

Format-specific pages are best when the source is obvious

MOV to MP4, WEBM to MP4, and MKV to MP4 are the clearest fit when the source format is already known and the user wants a direct route for that exact file type.

  • All conversion routes accept the same supported inputs.
  • Use specific routes when the source type already answers the intent question for the user.

An unsupported file does not always mean the product is broken

A compression page may reject a file outside its named input format. Conversion pages accept the supported audio and video formats.

When the file still does not fit, the next question is whether the source type is outside the current ClipManta tool set.

Upload compatibility FAQs

Direct answers about which pages fit audio files, video files, and format-specific uploads.

Which pages should I use for audio files?

Any conversion page accepts supported audio files and shows available audio outputs. MP3 and WAV compressors still require their specific input formats.

Should I use a format-specific page or a generic one?

Choose the page whose heading and initial output match your goal. All conversion pages accept the same supported media inputs.

Which pages should I use for video files that need audio output?

These pages describe video-to-audio jobs, but every conversion widget accepts supported video files and can offer audio outputs.

If a file is rejected, what is the first thing to check?

Check the supported file formats and the error message. Compression pages have stricter input limits than conversion pages.
